Course Description:         This course is designed to instruct teachers concerning the different techniques available to them during each learning moment.  It will enable each teacher to develop lessons based on knowledge of lesson design and the principals of learning.

 

Overall Goals:                1.          Teachers will know how to present an effective lesson that is

totally under their control.

2.                   Teachers will learn the correct terminology and sequencing needed in an effective lesson.

3.                   Teachers will be able to discuss and observe lesson design as it is used by colleagues.

 

Performance Objectives:              Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:

1.                    Demonstrate Prime Time learning

2.                   Demonstrate the five parts of input

3.                   Demonstrate the seven areas of output

4.                   Demonstrate proper use of guided and independent practice

5.                   Demonstrate correct closure and independent practice

6.                   Demonstrate the six parts of motivation

7.                   Demonstrate the five parts of retention

8.                   Demonstrate the four segments of reinforcement

9.                   Demonstrate the kinds and elements of transfer

10.                 Demonstrate the ability to diagnose an objective at the proper level of difficulty

11.                  Connect all of the above with a classroom organization and management program
